For me the biggest inspiration up till now, was meeting our founder Earl Bakken. I was amazed to see how fit he still is! He truly is the living embodiment of our mission: to alleviate pain, restore health and extend lives.
Since I've joined Medtronic last year, I've gotten to know this company as a challenging worldwide organization, without too many borders. Within my job as tax accountant, every day is different and every day is a learning experience. I’m involved in numerous cases and a broad range of projects for various regions and countries around the world. I keep a close watch on the external market to anticipate changes that will impact our company and our business. I feel that's my personal contribution to improving the treatment of chronic diseases.
The teamwork within the various departments is outstanding. I’ve got great colleagues and the interaction with people from various departments across the world is very motivating. However for me the biggest inspiration up till now, was meeting our founder Earl Bakken at our Holiday program. I was amazed by his appearance and how fit he still is! He truly is the living embodiment of our mission: to alleviate pain, restore health and extend lives.
